Funding Applications

The 2019 funding round of the Waikato River Clean-up Trust opens on 1stJuly 2019 and will close at 4pm on Thursday 22ndAugust 2019.  You will not be able to start your online application until 1stJuly, but you will be able to view the application form through the ‘Make An Application’ link below.


Making an Application

If you are considering making an application to the Waikato River Authority for funding please read our Funding Strategy first to check whether your project meets the funding criteria. This is available in the Key Documents section of our website. Once you are ready to write your application click on the 'Make an Application' button below. This will take you to our application page.

All applications must be made online, but it is possible to access a Word copy of the form WRA Word Application 2019 

The Waikato River Authority will usually give priority to projects that that are co-funded. If you are seeking co-funding from other organisations you may wish to consider the  Environmental Funding Groups list here

Health and Safety

All successful applicants must provide the Waikato River Authority with organisational and project specific Health and Safety information prior to the deed of funding being signed for their project.  Click on one of the links below to find out what Health and Safety documentation we require from you.
